Clinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates has been developed by physiotherapists to extend the benefits of traditional Pilates to those who need more instruction and observation by those specially trained in the science of musculoskeletal movement. Clinical Pilates uses mat based exercises which strengthen the central core by using small movements in a controlled approach. It can be of great benefit to those who have suffered an injury, or those who suffer from recurrent back and postural problems.

Physiotherapists use their training and knowledge of movement to devise exercises tailored to the needs of the individual and do so in a fully supported and safe environment. Unless these types of exercises are performed correctly the individual can exacerbate an existing problem which is why supervision from a physiotherapist who will guide you through each exercise is very important to a safe recovery or improved strength.

At Back in Motion we offer a range of classes and is important to find the right type of class to suit your needs. Our instructors will happily guide you through the range of classes on offer and will recommend the best one for you
